Norwegian oil and gas industry keeps offshore jobs

In difficult conditions of the 2014-2015 energy market, the Norwegian oil and gas industry as a whole managed to maintain the investment attractiveness, and even to increase the volume of production. Some slowdown in oil production offset by substantial progress of the gas sector, which are based on advanced technical and technological solutions.

While the operators of the British sector of the North Sea complain and threaten to cut the production volume of crude oil production and cut jobs in offshore sector in an attempt to squeeze out of the United Kingdom Government some further monetary assistance, their Norwegian colleagues are stepping up to attract and retain investment, betting the use of new, especially subsea, technologies.
