Russian mail-order brides have evolved into a profitable business

A certain Mark Scrivener from Martensville, Saskachevan, Canada, this year opened a Canadian branch of the Russian matchmaker agency Volga Girls mail-order bride service to provide Canada-specific services to single men looking for a wife who from Russia. His website's database of Russian women lists over 1,100 photopersonal profiles of women from the area of the Russian city of Togliatti. Scrivener says he has 14 engagements in average per year, each successful service consif customer $US 5000. There's an opinion mail order bride services are less about helping couples find love than a way for western men to access vulnerable women from a foreign country and taking advantage of them desperately seeking better economic opportunities in ddevelopped country of the West.
